Electronic cigarettes are considered as a healthier alternative to smoking tobacco cigarettes. They can also be used as a way to give up smoking completely. They are designed to look like a traditional cigarette but vaporizes liquid nicotine so that it can be inhaled just like the smoke of regular cigarettes. If you have already bought your electronic cigarettes, one of the most important things that you need to know would be how to clean them. Here is a guide that should be able to help you out.

1. First, using a lint-free cloth, clean around the area which connects the battery to the atomizer. Never use water or any other type of cleaning fluid. Make sure that there would be no particles left behind from the cloth, as they might accidentally enter the heating-coil housing.

2. You should then drain any buildup of liquid in the electronic cigarette which may have seeped out from the cartridge to the atomizer. There are three ways on how you can do this. First, you remove the mouthpiece, which would leave the battery attached. You should then gently blow air into the battery at the end with the LED which would activate the battery. This would cause any liquid buildup to be vaporized.

3. You could also drain any excess liquid through first removing the mouthpiece and the battery. Blow air in the hole which connects the battery to the atomizer. Doing this would help in clearing the liquid from the heating coil. You should then tap the atomizer lightly on a cloth after each third breath. Do this until you cannot hear any more gurgling sounds. Stand the atomizer up on a piece of clean cloth so you can drain any additional liquid. 4. Lastly, you can drain the liquid by disassembling the unit and placing the atomizer on a piece of clean cloth. Make sure that the side of the battery connection is facing up. Allow it to drain overnight.

Smoking is yet another way men use to get rid of stress and strain they come across on due course of daily life activities.

Many start it as a fascination and end up caught in an addiction that makes them dependent on their daily dose of nicotine for living life in a normal way. Though both men and women smoke yet men are found more indulged in the activity. Why you should be thinking about giving up the bad habit and how you can do it easily is the agenda of this article:

We all know excess of everything is bad and something that makes us an addict and hinders your performance without it is surely something serious to think about. We come across the precautionary announcements on almost daily basis that emphasize how injurious smoking can be to our health. It causes many health issues which include breathing problems, bad breathe, loss of appetite, stains on teeth and even lungs cancer. High blood pressure and the associated heart diseases risks are yet other risks that smokers have to bear. It is also found to affect our relations badly especially when you miss your daily dose of nicotine. Also your close ones are at a risk greater than you in the form of what they call ‘passive smoking’. Along with this there are other things as well that are usually done parallel with a cigarette in your hand which makes the situation even worse; alcohol to be one of the most common element of such associations. All this poses great hazards to your physical and mental health.

The very basic and important thing to do in your course of quitting smoking is to have a strong conviction and stick to it. Be realistic and give up smoking gradually. Have a clear picture of the reasons which make up foundation of your plan of giving up smoking. This will make it easy for you to control the urge to smoke next time you feel like it. It could be for your dear and near ones or your desire to remove any sort of dependency from your life or it could be a sound health that you see as a basic to start living a quality life. Whatever is your reason make sure it is strong enough to help you fight your carving for smoking. You can also take help of replacement products that contain some amount of nicotine and help you overcome the desire for cigarette while fulfilling the need for the material that you are actually addict to. This is a good way especially when you are overwhelmed by the idea of having a cigarette in your hand than what it actually provides you. Another option is to go for medication to stop smoking. Important thing in this regard is to consult your physician and let him prescribe for you as he knows your body better than you and not all medicines are made for you. Support of your friends and family can also prove very useful; greater the numbers of allies you have on your side, the more chances of you are there to win the combat!

Cigarettes are made from tobacco and contain nicotine, carbon monoxide, ammonia, arsenic, lead, hydrogen cyanide, and fifty other carcinogens.

Cost of (smoking related) health care for United States amounts to $150 billion per annum. Up to 440,000 Americans die each year because of smoking related ailments. Each and every one of us is forced to inhale second hand smoke, of the approximately 1.1 billion smokers around the globe. With sales up to five trillion cigarettes per annum, tobacco is one of the largest industries in the world. Nicotine addiction is very hard, but not impossible, to get rid of. Following are some useful tips for people who are trying to quit smoking;

It is very common for smokers to revert back because of lack of commitment. Be fully committed to your goal; quitting cigarettes and smoking. Make a list of benefits of quitting smoking and putting it at a prominent place in your room or office will remind you about why you are doing it every time you crave a smoke.

There is no right way of quitting smoking as long as you do. For chain smokers, slowly reducing the number of cigarettes may be a better option. On the other hand, quitting abruptly has worked for a large number of smokers around the world. Deliberate and decide the option that works best for you. However, even if you choose the first option, it is important to decide a quitting date.

Drink lots of fluid such as water, herbal teas, and fresh juices. They help flush out nicotine and other harmful chemicals contained in cigarettes. Avoid coffee, soft and hard drinks as much as possible since they will fuel your urge to smoke.

Regularly doing breathing exercises for about 10 minutes will help you quit smoking. Breathe slowly and hold the oxygen in for as long as you can. Try doing the breathing exercises in a green environment with your eyes closed.

Make a list of how you will reward yourself for every milestone you achieve. For example you can treat yourself to a nice meal for every one month anniversary, and plan a vacation with a friend or family member for your one year anniversary. It is important to acknowledge the efforts you have put in for adopting a healthier life style.

It is a good idea to be aware of what triggers your craving for a smoke. This will make it easier for you to avoid them when possible. If, however, it is not possible to avoid one of more of your triggers, be sure to have an alternative in place to deal with your cravings.

Schedule a teeth cleaning appointment with your dentist right after you have quit smoking. This will help you enjoy them and strengthen you resolve to keep them pearly white.

Having a support group or a quitting buddy will make quitting easier and more manageable by cheering each other on and being there to listen to each other every time you experience a craving.

Smoking is one of the worst health damaging habits that one can adopt. Surprisingly, this health hazard is spreading at a faster rate than ever. Thanks to the multitude of TV commercials that promote smoking to be “cool”, more and more teenagers and young adults are being drawn towards this activity. What most people tend to ignore is the fact that cigarettes are increasingly becoming the number one killers worldwide. It’s not just the nicotine and lung cancer but the various other problems that arise due to excessive smoking such as increased risks for heart diseases, cardiac arrests, increased blood pressures and many others.

If you are an ardent smoker then you have probably spent hundreds of dollars on your own health disaster. The reason why most quitters find it hard to quit, despite being aware of all the set backs and dangers of smoking is addiction. The nicotine in cigarettes is highly addictive and most people find themselves relaxed by considerable degrees when they smoke.

The good news is that with the upcoming technologies and gadgets that have been specially engineered for smokers, quitting smoking has never been easier.

All you need is a firm determination and will to attain a better health and improved lifestyle. Following are few tips and techniques that will surely help you through the process of quitting.

Quitting smoking is not a matter of hours. Once you have decided to quit, gradually decrease your cigarette purchasing. Instead of buying cartons buy one or two packs and bring yourself to smoking a cigarette a day. Giving your body time to adjust to this change will definitely yield results that are more long lasting without you craving for more every minute or even second.

Instead of cigarette break at work, opt for other options that keep you active and busy. Chat with colleagues or munch on a few carrots. Even better, enjoy some solitude in your cabin and engage in a solitaire game on your pc. This will surely refresh you more than a dose of nicotine.

Every time you get hit by a craving, brew some herbal tea for yourself. Not only is this a much healthier alternative, but the slow intake of warm herbal tea will reduce your stress levels by almost the same amount as a cigarette.

Go nuts about smoking! Simply put, replace every cigarette you consume with four nuts. This delicious snack is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and will unquestionably improve your mood by several degrees.

Every time your resolution falters and you reach for a cigarette pack, think about the danger you are exposing yourself to. Smoking is responsible for one out of every five deaths. This includes 29% of all deaths caused by cancer out of which 87% are the painful deaths caused by lung cancer and the other 20% are caused by cardio vascular diseases. Research has shown that nearly half of all persistent smokers die an average of 20 to 25 years before their time.

Quitting smoking will not only help you live longer but a lot healthier and happier. You will have more energy to do your chores and perform your duties and will even save more money.

Cigarettes contain nicotine, a highly addictive component that gets people hooked on to it. This is one of the reasons why people cannot quit smoking. What they however fail to understand is that smoking kills and when death wins over someone loses a very important part of their lives. The importance and priority one gives to him or herself should be the reason alone to quit this vice. Yet, there are many ignorant who simply do not heed to these calls in time only to regret later.

The addiction to smoking is not gender biased. Its harmful effects as compared to boosting global revenue are much more critical but much less pondered upon. So, to elucidate the adversities caused by this unhealthy and critical habit here are a few facts that might help convince someone to quit smoking.

The foremost reason being that quitting smoking will increase the years of one’s productive life. Each time a person inhales harmful fumes of a cigarette it slashes about five to twenty minutes of their lives thus, enhancing the chances of cardiac arrest, pulmonary cancer and other fatal complications.

Smoking is one habit that is heavy on the wallets of those addicted to it. It curbs savings and leaves less to be spent on other things. The effects of smoking are principally adverse for the health of pregnant women and the fetus as it increases the chances of abnormalities in babies.

Also, being a part of a family one is putting everyone else at the risk of same seriousness. People around the smoker especially children are much prone to danger than the actual smoker, as they are inhaling the fumes directly without the filter attached to the cigarettes. The term used for such people is passive smokers. So, basically one person smoking is effecting his or her entire surrounding.

This calls for immediate actions to be taken in order to quit smoking. Do not hesitate to get aid from the circle of family, friends and acquaintances in this regard. Though it is not an easy task yet it is very much attainable. A person needs to show commitment and responsibility along the entire quitting schedule. To start off with, it is important to set a date for quitting smoking. Curb your craving to smoke by making your surrounding and home a non-smoking area.

Cherish the support that you get from the circle of your family and social life. Use it as a motivation to stick to your target and respond to their encouragement by showing dedication. Keep a watch out for stimulators of a relapse which may include; depression, weight gain or alcohol related issues and try to beat the longing to smoke by indulging in healthy routines like gym, yoga, exercise etc.
